I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity right out of college. After studying how businesses and the environment are integrated, being able to put my studies to the test is an accomplishment I will always appreciate. Taking environmental samples for a team and company, whose ambition is to not only save lives, but to do that while having fewer environmental impacts is such a rewarding feeling.

SHINE strives for a challenging dream to produce molybdenum-99, a much needed medical isotope, from non-weapon grade uranium. SHINE is a unique kind of nuclear industry in the world. I am glad to get the opportunity to be a part of this endeavor with the bright and brilliant SHINE team.

Here at SHINE you get to be a part of a great company with an incredible mission to bring medical isotope production back to the United States and help save lives by ending the current detrimental scarcity and shortages. It’s even more rewarding to be located in Wisconsin where our efforts and actions also help rebuild the local community and further the Wisconsin Idea. It’s an amazing feeling!

The reason I made the transition to SHINE is SHINE’s mission. The challenges we solve every day get us closer to our final product—delivering lifesaving medical isotopes to patients who are in critical need through a supply chain that’s really challenged and fragile. That seemed like a greater calling that the jobs I’d had in the past.
